Mount Bolivar (LO site), Coos County, Oregon

Elevation = 4321 ft.

Located in Siskiyou National Forest

All that is left of the fire lookout on Mount Bolivar are the concrete footings. There was a lookout structure here as early as 1914 which was replaced over the years and finally torn down in 1958. This peak is the highpoint of Coos County. Photo by Fred Johnson on August 11, 2007.
The peak is named for South American patriot Simon Bolivar who liberated Venezuela from the Spanish in 1811.
