The Stark Mountain tower is an R6 flattop cab on a 20 ft. timber tower. This replaced an earlier structure built in 1934. At the tower we met Tom Wegner who has staffed the lookout for the last ten years. At the time of our visit work was ongoing to apply wood preservative to the timbers which Tom was doing himself. The lookout is staffed during the summer months. This lookout is on the National Historic Lookout Register #367. Photo taken August 20, 2022.
