Thompson Peak lookout is in good condition and is usually staffed during the fire season. It was built in 1931-32. The lookout was used during World War II for enemy plane spotting. Photo July 26, 2012. | |||||||||||

Thompson benchmark is about fifty feet north of the lookout on a rocky knob. Placed in 1931. | |||||||||||
