The steps and the concrete footings are all that remain of the Ranger Lookout. The lookout was an 8ft. square cab on a 20ft. wood tower built in 1926. It was taken down in 1962. Nice photo at the Former Fire Lookouts site. #687 Photos taken May 21, 2022.
The benchmark disk located 13 ft. east of the center of the lookout has been chopped out. There is a datasheet for it: DX5216 The disk was placed in 1931.
