Mount Saint Helena (Lookout site), Sonoma County, California

Elevation = 4342 ft. The prominence is 1823 ft.

This is the highest part of the mountain. The lookout tower must have been off to the side since there is no evidence of a remaining foundation on the rock. The surveyors datasheet indicates there was a lookout building in 1938 and later in 1949. I don't know when it was removed. The memorial plaque placed in 1912 is in front. Photo taken June 26, 2017.
A replica of a plaque commemorates the founding of Fort Ross and the ascent of the peak by a Russain group in 1841.
Mt Helena benchmark Placed in 1938. Datasheet: JT2703
