This is the highest part of the mountain. The lookout tower must have been off to the side since there is no evidence of a remaining foundation on the rock. The surveyors datasheet indicates there was a lookout building in 1938 and later in 1949. I don't know when it was removed. The memorial plaque placed in 1912 is in front.
