| Nancy Hood on the left with Gail Hanna. Nancy is the lookout and she has been working as a fire lookout at four different sites in the Klamath National Forest continuously for 49 years. A remarkable record of service and dedication. Recent news: Nancy Hood retired on October 29, 2016 completing an amazing 58 years as a fire lookout. Nacny begain her career in 1959 at the Dry Lake Lookout. She also worked at Deadwood Lookout, Collins Creek Baldy, Buckhorn Lookout, Orr Mountain, Herd Peak, Scott Bar Mountain, Eddy Gulch, Bolivar, and Slater Butte. | |||||||||
