Duckwall Mountain Lookout is in good condition and may be staffed during periods of fire hazard. This tower was built by the CCC in 1935 and is an Aeromotor design. It has a seven foot square cab atop a hundred foot tower. This is similar to Woods Ridge and is one of the tallest lookouts in California. This cinder block building, built in 1951, replaced a wood residence burned in a wildland fire. The inside is damaged and would need extensive repair. | ||||||||
