Baker Butte Lookout, Coconino County, Arizona, Elevation = 8077 ft.

Baker Butte first had a 20 ft. wood tower with 6 ft. square cab built in 1921. In 1936 the CCC replaced it with the present R-3 12 ft. by 12 ft. wooden live in cab without a catwalk on a 30' Aermotor MC-24 metal tower. This lookout is on the National Historic Lookout Register #765. Photo taken October 23, 2003. I don't have a photo but there is supposed to be a survey benchmark directly under the center of the tower. Datasheet: ES0985
